M8 is a design studio based in Innland Norway – Østre Toten to be precise – and we love our countryside. So when we are invited 650km north to the coast, then we get very excited. 50% of M8 has grown up on the west coast of Scotland and has salt water in his veins. Therefore it is always invigorating to discover new corners of Norway’s salt coast.
After touching down in Namsos we drove west and after possibly the countries shortest ferry crossing, we landed on the Island of Jøa. Here we experienced the warm spirit, hospitality, and creativity of the locals. A chance also to again work with none other than Pål K. Medhus. We are looking forward to see how this project develops in 2023.
