Naturlab Flatsjå is now officially open and we are very proud to be part of the team who have developed this attraction in Flatdal along «Sogevegen om Nutheim».
Naturlab has been designed for children and young people to come closer to nature. It is an «open air classroom» to learn about flora and fauna and about changes and challenges in the landscape linked to erosion and flood. Naturlab Flasjå has been given a nature reserve status and is located in Flatdal in Telemark by lake Flasjå.
Two haylofts have been restored and given an active, new role and various architectural installations have been built, stepping stones keep your feet dry as you cross the meandering river and there is an abundance of wildlife.
Where necessary the signage shall lead you to the various key points around the Naturlab.
We have worked with Feste Landskap • Arkitektur and Faun Naturforvaltning in developing the project for Flatdal Bygdeutviklingslag, Flatdal School and Seljord Kommune.
